BARTER PUZZLE....
Another interesting activity we did during our last ppd session(29/11/2017-wednesday).We were asked to count from 1 to 3 and then grouped by the numbers we counted.I was in group2.
Then we were given an advertisement paper and asked to look at it for a minute. Then our miss asked to select one person from each group and that person to come forward. And again another person from the same group to assist the previous one.
Those two were asked to cut that advertisement paper into hundred pieces in shapes like triangle, square and rectangle(not circle). Then the pieces were mixed. And miss took ten pieces from each group and gave them to the other two groups.
Next all the groups were asked to solve the puzzle and make it in the correct shape.
TIME DURATION:45MIN..
We had to concentrate on both solving the puzzle and collecting the missing pieces.
So we decided to divide our group into subgroups. Each of us had different tasks like some to solve the puzzle from the bottom area, some for the front area, some for the middle area and some to find the missing pieces and exchange them.
When our time was finished we went back to our seats and two were there with the puzzle. In our group, six pieces were missing.
In group 1,only one piece was missing and in group 3,4 pieces were missing. So the group 1 is declared as the winners.
WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE ACTIVITY???
- working in group.
- planning before doing anything.
- time management.
- having a strategy in doing some games as well as our day to day life.
- handling situations.
- decision making.
- listening to other's view.
