EGG PROTECTING COVER........

EGG PROTECTING COVER....

The ativity we did last week(08/11/2017) was making a protecting cover for the egg to prevent it from breaking when we throw them from the top.

At first we were divided into three groups of five/four members. Then we were provided with
  • Five A4 papers.
  • Cellotape.
And we had 45 minutes to make it.

Our group members were
  •   Sujithra(none other than myself๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ)
  •   Prarthana
  •   Vijaya
  •   Anura
First we thought to protect our egg by wrapping the cellotape all over the egg and then to make the cover. After wrapping the egg,we cut the paper into very tiny paper. And then we made the remaining paper into a cone. Then we put the tiny pieces into the cone and placed the egg above the paper pieces.Next we put the remaning pieces above and around the egg,so that it will be protected from the pressure inserted if it is thrown from the top.

Then we were asked to hand over the eggs to test whether it's breaking or not.Another issue we faced was finding a suitable place to throw the egg from the top.Unfortunately,we didn't find a place .So we decided to take help from the tallest one from our class๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.He was standing on a stool and threw it .

Only one group was successful .Actually ours didn't break when it was thrown from the top.But the cracked started to appear when we was trying to remove the cellotape. What we thought to protect the shell was the actual cause for our failure.

But the activity was really fun and it taught us many lessons such as
  • Plan before you do anything(just like tamil comedian vadivelu saying "Ethayum plan panni pannanum๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚")
  • Working as a team.
  • Winning and losing is just a part of the game.Participation matters a lot.
