What I learned from PPD......

As I have already said in my first post,PPD moulds us into an efficient individual who is ready to face the world and solves all the problem confidently and effectively......We have learned many things from PPD.I like to mention some of them 

Self Confidence

SELF CONFIDENCE is the first thing we have to develop ourselves. We should believe in us to achieve anything

Decision making matters all...yes,eventhough you are talented your decisions is the pathway to achieve everything

Paper Tower

PAPER TOWER!!!!

One of the interesting activity given to us to develop our team working ability...

TASK:  make a tallest,stable and  straight creative tower.

NUMBER OF PEOPLE: 8 members per team (3 teams ).

DURATION OF THE ACTIVITY:45 minutes.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: 12 A4 papers,1 cello-tape and scissors.

RULES: We should use materials other than provided.

HOW DID WE PLAY???

                  After the teams were divided,we were allowed to start building our own tower.But before start building,we decided to make a plan and discuss the strategies in building it.All of us had different ideas ,we selected the best one from them.We thought that making a strong basement,so that it will stand for a long time without falling down.Then we started building the tower.We divided our team into subgroups.Some were making basement and some were working on constructing the top part.This dividing into groups made our work faster and more efficient.We finished our work ,before the given time.

WHAT WE LEARNED THROUGH THE ACTIVITY??

• Team work.
• co ordination.
• planning.
• creativity.
• listening to other's views.

HOW WE FELT AT THE END ??

             Win or Lose , doesn't matter.Participation worths...

What is PPD?????

                                 Personal progress Development shortly ""PPD" is conducted to the Software Engineering Students (University of Kelaniya) in order to develop their soft skills and mold them into a skillful individual to record their footprint in the industries and in their life.

What we do???

         We , 

•       speak with each other.
•       play some innovative games.
•       act dramas.
•       argue in a friendly manner
•       present our ideas
•       listen what others say.

                         In these PPD sessions ,we improve ourselves in an easy manner that we all enjoy.The students are encouraged to participate in each activities overcoming their fear and shyness when they face the world.

Why we need PPD???

                      "Marks alone can't decide what you are capable of!!". Being a bookworm won't help you to face the world and to survive in  this competitive world.Hence you have to carve yourself a potential personality.For this,PPD sessions helps a lot in developing the values and making the pathway to achieve our goals easier.
